Welcome to Titus and Mark’s substack!
And welcome to Titus and Mark. We are friends who play original songs on acoustic guitars. An acoustic duo, if you will. We get together about once per month, usually alternating houses. On Saturday, Feb. 11, we played at Titus’ house and ran through most of our songs:
If You Cry
Water Town
The Girl I Love is Just Out of Reach
Seaside
A Different Way
Canyon Bland*
Yay
*Included an all-new second solo, in which we talked about how we both messed up the first solo. Innovations??
We’re still practicing, finding our groove and getting the songs down. But they sound better each month. Enjoy ‘Water Town’ and ‘Yay’ above. We’ll aim to share at least one song or audio file per post.
After practice we met up with our better halves, Kate and Laura, and toured sunny and historic downtown New Bedford, Mass., visiting these various fine establishments:
Alison Wells Fine Art Studio & Gallery
In addition to good food and drink at Play, we played some fine pinball (Metallica, Terminator 3) and of course our favorite: Whack-a-Mole.
So it was a great day overall. We’re getting closer to being “show ready” and look forward to playing live soon at a venue near you.
Titus and Mark - enjoyed your show at the McFee gallery on Saturday; strong set of songs, great complimentary guitar interplay, and an interesting (and comfortable) venue. I look forward to attending more of your shows. Once again channeling our pal Larry - I dug it the most!!!
Enjoyed the songs, lads! Looking forward to hearing you live. TK
